The Headshot Initiative

Like many social workers in this field who completed unpaid practicums during our BSW and MSW programs, we understand firsthand the financial challenges facing students entering child advocacy and trauma work. SPARK advocates for fair compensation for social work practicums and the elimination of out-of-pocket costs associated with practicum education, recognizing that these financial barriers limit diversity and accessibility within our profession.

SPARK Advocacy Collective is proud to offer free professional headshots to social work students in their final semester who are pursuing careers in child welfare, trauma treatment, or victim advocacy.

Each session includes:

  • A 30-minute professional photo session
  • 3-5 edited digital images for your professional profiles
  • A 20-minute coaching session with an experienced child advocacy professional

Why Headshots Matter

Professional images are increasingly important for networking, job applications, and establishing your professional presence. By removing this cost barrier, we hope to support you as you begin your career serving vulnerable children and families.
